Readers/Reviewers Wanted for an ARC
For years now, I have been covering and reviewing books. It led me down a path where I said, "I should write a book".
Before getting into the book details, I'll start with: if you want to read my book, Murder Party, send me an email at Brian@kristensbookkorner.com and I will send you an EPUB file of the book. If you just want to read the book and not review it, that is perfectly fine. If you want to review it thats great! Please be honest in your review. I hate when people give copies and then expect high reviews. Your opinions are valid. If this is a one-star book for you, then it's a one-star book. I hope it's a five-star book to everyone, but I know that's not the reality. All I can ask of you is honesty.
So why did I write a book? The short answer is, I felt like I had an idea for a story that no one tells. I think there is a big risk that I take in my story, and I would love to talk about spoilers with any of you once you finish the book. So when I had this idea, I set out to write the book. I outlined it and then quit. The outline didn't feel right, and I just didn't want to bother. Then one day I decided to play around with the outline and it started to shape up and I was motivated to write the book. I wrote the words Chapter One…. and then I quit again.
After quitting the second time, I came back to the book and tried again. I wrote some chapters and some ideas, most of which did not make it into the final version, and then I quit yet again. Writing a book is hard. I came back to the book and was slowly working on it in secret. I did not tell anyone I was working on it; I just kept trying to figure it out.
When my daughter was born, I told myself I had to finish the book. I had to set an example and follow through on promises I made, and I made myself a promise I would finish the book. Then I finally hit a nice stride and made some solid progress. The story was finally coming together, and Murder Party was finally born.
Here is the description of Murder Party:
Would you survive a game designed to kill you?
Murder Party is the newest obsession for game-night junkies—an immersive escape experience where teams solve puzzles, unlock hidden passages, and evade a masked killer stalking the halls.
Don’t get caught. In the game, getting caught removes you temporarily—and weakens your team.
It’s supposed to feel real.
Until it is.
When the power fails during a private beta test, the doors seal shut. The building goes silent. The cameras go dark. And the rules change.
Now the killer is real.
And getting caught means death.
Trapped inside a warehouse built for fear, nine friends must finish the game to unlock the building—while someone stalks them from the shadows, turning every puzzle into a deadly trap
Because this time, the only way out…is to survive
Murder Party is a very fast read, Its 225 pages and short quick chapters. This is perfect for one or two sittings.
